According to Fitch Ratings, the Islamic Finance industry in Nigeria
remains nascent and in its early stages of development, but there is potential
for growth. The Debt Management Office (DMO), Nigeria also confirmed that it has
issued three (3) Sukuk through the capital market to support infrastructure
development across the nation. The total value of the issuances so far is
N362bn, which were all oversubscribed showing the wide acceptance of the
Islamic finance instrument in the capital market.

 

This Webinar series to be hosted by WebTV’s Islamic Finance Weekly
Anchor, Mrs. Bukola Akinyele-Yisau will be an opportunity to inform
institutional and retail investors about opportunities in the non-interest finance
market in Nigeria and Africa, while addressing salient issues affecting the
growth and development of the market.
