Ocean State Job Lot expands Medway store
Ocean State Job Lot is finishing up an expansion and revitalization of its store in the Medway Shopping Center, 114 Main St. With 10,000 square feet of additional space and an improved floor plan, the expanded store offers nearly 50{de3fc13d4eb210e6ea91a63b91641ad51ecf4a1f1306988bf846a537e7024eeb} more space to shop. The food, seasonal, clothing and pet departments have doubled in size, and the store is now equipped with LED lighting, creating a brighter shopping experience, according to the Rhode Island company. The building was painted inside and out. Ocean State Job Lot is a privately held discount retail chain with 146 stores in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Banza announces partnership with Oath Pizza
Banza Pizza, maker of chickpea pizza, pasta, rice and mac & cheese, recently announced its first major restaurant partnership, with Oath Pizza. Banza has begun rolling out chickpea pizza crust to guests at Oath’s 50-plus restaurants, beginning with its Massachusetts locations in Nantucket, Chestnut Hill, Cambridge, Boston and Somerville. According to Banza, this is a strategic decision made by Oath, whose consumers have been asking for a pizza that is both gluten-free and vegan. Banza’s chickpea pizza will replace Oath’s previous cauliflower and gluten-free crusts.
Concierge Physical Therapy expands practice into Shrewsbury
Concierge Physical Therapy is now open and accepting patients in Shrewsbury. Owned and operated by Dr. Sean Lordan, the new clinic is at 307 Grafton St. (next door to Café Noir). In 2018, Concierge Physical Therapy opened its first location in Sutton. Doctors at CPT provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment, specializing in sports rehab and chronic pain. Patients also have access to services such as dry needling, electrical stimulation and orthotic prescriptions. Lordan grew up in Shrewsbury, a graduate of Saint John’s High School and Northeastern University.
Nonprofit to host financial ed webinars
National nonprofit American Consumer Credit Counseling said it’s offering a free webinar hosted by community educator Peter Mullen. The webinar on “Retirement Planning” will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 24. It will explore choices consumers can make at any age and is designed to help set reasonable expectations for retirement. Milford Medical Center receives a 5-Star rating
Milford Regional Medical Center has received an overall hospital quality star rating of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Milford Regional is among 455 hospitals out of 4,586 across the United States to achieve a 5-star rating, and was one of 12 hospitals to receive 5 stars in Massachusetts. The CMS hospital quality star rating program uses measures from the following categories to determine an overall star rating: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, timely and effective care, and efficient use of medical imaging. CMS developed the star rating program to help consumers choose highly rated hospitals based on comparing data on the CMS hospital compare website.
