Abilene Federal Credit Union names executive board

Abilene Federal Credit Union, which serves more than 3,000 members, recently announced its new executive board members.

Kevin Onheiser, who has served on the credit union’s board for the past seven years, was named as the board’s new president. Onheiser is a member of the Abilene Police Department.

Other leadership positions named include Mindy Patterson as vice president and Joey Kincaid as secretary. Patterson is Abilene’s deputy city manager, and Kincaid is the Abilene Fire Department’s C Shift Battalion chief.

Blizzard & Zimmerman adds attorney

The Blizzard & Zimmerman Law Firm recently announced that Morgan Walker has joined the firm as its fifth and newest attorney. Her practice will focus on criminal law, criminal defense, appeals, and post-conviction relief.

Walker received a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice and legal studies from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and received a juris doctor degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law.

United Family donates 4,200 pounds of apples

As part of its Take a Bite Out of Hunger program, United Supermarkets and Market Street donated 4,200 pounds of apples to the Food Bank of West Central Texas on April 29.
